Re: svrmgrl/sqlplus long connection time before to get the prompt on HP-UX 10.01

Hi,

it looks like Oracle Trace in 7.3 On Installation of Oracle it is automaticly enabled.
In $ORACLE_HOME/otrace/admin are files *.dat. They are large, and will be larger after every connect. Oracle scans these files on startup off svrmgrl or sqlplus.(You 'll see it whith "truss svrmgrl " Do the following:
shutdown your instance
drop all files *.dat
in your .profile:
EPC_DISABLE=TRUE
export EPC_DISABLE

That's all.
