Hai

        NT system has a small catch .Though you may change in the init.ora file it will not do the change . You have to do it in NT REGISTRY. Change nt registry NLS_DATE_FORMAT=dd/mon/YYYY
If it does not exit create a new nls_Date_Format key in the registry .  vinod
