Unfortunately, It's been a while since I handled the Sun Solaris OS.

When you echo $ORACLE_SID what do you get?

Are there any oracle related entries in the Shell Login scripts.

The last time I had similar problem, it was because the Default SID keep chaning on me. I don't remember the other details though. Sorry!
