Do you two INIT.ORA files for your instances INITDEVEL.ORA and INITTEST.ORA?
- YES
What is your Server OS?
- SUN Solaris 4.2
If it is NT are the services setup to start both instances automatically? ------ Its Unix and during Unix Startup it starts the instance automatically
What is the Default Oracle sid on the machine? --- do not remember for sure.
Did you change the ORACLE_SID parameter before making changes to INIT files
and before starting the databases?
----But I did not change anything with SID in parameter files.
what I changed was job_queue_process and jiob_queue_interval parameters in
INIT.ORA.
