Re: ORA-00600: Index produces timeout ?

It looks like a bug.
If you have indexes on both columns (x and y) you may try to inhibit one index use (drop one index or reword your query). If it runs, then you have got a bug.

This is only a workaround. Please contact Oracle support to get a complete solution.
