Yes, you can change the db_files during installation. You need to look for a file called initx.ora in the stage area directory and edit that parameter before install.
That file could be in stage/rdbms/install (I have done this in unix, if u are working with NT, I'm not sure of the location). Your initSID.ora file will be created with those parameters specified in that initx.ora file
