I've had a similar problem. Solaris 2.5.1, oracle 8.0.3. dbstart give the ora-7331 error. I've tried adjusting the db_block_size to 2048 and 8192 (same as some other systems) and dbshut/dbstart - no change. Getting the same error.
Any advice.
