1. assume you are doing this in sqlplus or plsql block.
2. raw is raw. any action try to select in sqlplus or insert will internal do char transfer.
3. you can't insert it in sqlplus or plsql, '^G' won't work.
4. have to do it using oci.
5. can select it to here the bell :-<
