 This is a known problem if you are on a certain Jumbo patch level. There are two workarounds.

  1. Go down a Solaris Patch level
  2. Use the 7.3.2.3 media and install the installer. Then use that installer to install 7.3.2.1. When you install 7.3.2.1 do not install the installer.

I have done this many times it works. I can not remember the Solaris Patch level though that has the problems. I am almost certain that this is what you are running into. Received on Tue Apr 15 1997 - 00:00:00 CDT
