I fail to see a problem with 90% of what he rails against. I go into the hardware store and I see a screw driver. I need to drive in a nail so buy a hammer. I use the tool appropriate for accomplishing the job.

I see this as a hammer bigot saying ... hammers were invented first (well rocks really) so you've got to use a hammer.

But XML in a database ... just another example of the only tool you need is a hammer. XML has its uses. Storing data is not one of them.
