If it is a setup problem (DBA Studio not installed correctly), then I don't have any suggestions other than to install it while logged into NT as your NT userid.

Another thing to check is what NT groups you are in. I don't know what the minimum NT privileges are for DBA Studio.

On my PC (Win2k instead of NT), I am in the Administrator's group. On Win2k, I can check this by:

  1. Open Control Panel
  2. Double-click Users and Passwords icon
  3. Look under the User Name column and see Group name(s)
  4. Select the correct user name row and click Properties.
  5. On my setup, my Group Membership is 'Other - Administrators'

For a local (on your PC) database, you have to be a member of the ORA_DBA group (I think).

If none of this helps, I am at a loss. Perhaps another poster can supply more info to help you. Received on Mon Jan 20 2003 - 12:33:42 CST
