Sybrand pointed you in the correct direction. Are you refusing to follow the excellent advice you received or did you just not understand it: Run EXPLAIN PLAN. To which I will add run TKPROF.

And if you don't know how then go to http://tahiti.oracle.com and look up both.

That is what we would do if we were sitting in your chair. Unless you want to pay for the airplane tickets, hotel, and per diem the best you are going to get from us is to do as we have advised and then submit the relevant results if you still have questions.
