I didn't find the table at the URL but a statement that each release will connect to all supported previous releases (thus not 7.3.4 for 9.2 ). Seems good enough for me.

NB The 'problem' only irritates me because I know that I can't do it but it doesn't stop me trying it about once a week or so.
