There is only one sensible advice:
Read those manuals!
Start with the Oracle Getting Started Manual (sounds rather obvious doesn't it?)
Read the Oracle Concepts Manual
Forget everything you learned about Sqlserver. *Don't* try to *port* your sqlserver habits to Oracle, *learn* Oracle
