Not nearly enough info:

What is the database running on?
How much memory on the NT; on the Win98? What processor(s) are involved..

Dataspeed in what measure...transaction completion time, login time, ????

More data needed.....
( or for fans of a certain Ally Sheedy flic, '#5 needs input...')
