Curious, I do not have the scripts stop*.cmd and strt*.cmd or for that matter *.cmd anywhere under %ORACLE_HOME%.

Could you please post the contents of these command files, or how to generate them.

NT4.0 SP6
Oracle 8i (8.1.6) complete install.
