Best-selling author and trainer Steven Feuerstein announces the utPLSQL Project, a unit-testing framework for Oracle PL/SQL developers.

With utPLSQL, developers will now be able to build and easily run comprehensive unit tests, composed of multiple test cases. Test execution is automated, and results are analyzed for correctness by the utility, rather than the developer.

O'Reilly and Associates has provided a web site and discussion board to make utPLSQL as widely available as possible. Developers can visit:

ftp://ftp.oreilly.com/published/oreilly/oracle/utplsql/

to download the utPLSQL software, read full documentation describing the ideas and architecture of utPLSQL, including a guide to using the utPLSQL API, and visit the utPLSQL discussion board, where developers exchAange ideas about utPLSQL and unit testing in Oracle.

Steven Feuerstein will also be a speaker at the upcoming Oracle OpenWorld, October 1-5, 2000, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA.
Catch him giving the "Top 200 Terrific PL/SQL Tuning Tips" on Monday, October 2nd at 05:00 PM in room 120. And don't forget to drop by O'Reilly's booth #2415 to testdrive the Oracle 8/8i release of the popular WebBoard 4 software, or to chat with an O'Reilly editor.
