I've come across so many ODBC syntax errors in my time as a VB Oracle
developer.  If you're lucky a later version of the ODBC driver may fix your
problem - I wouldn't hold your breath.  Microsoft are pushing for OLE DB
now.  I use this and find most of those problems disappear.
