While we are on this topic, with MS trumpeting specious figures of its "own" database on its own OS, we should note that they still don't have a 64bit solution whilst almost every Unix vendor has both 64bit hardware and OS. Even Nintendo went 64bit before them.

So, while distributed may be fine, if you want one system with more than 4GB of addressable memory, you have to disregard MS. MS's record for 24x7 on one system is still low in comparison to other systems.
