Export as Daily Backup

I'm thinking of using Export Full as my daily backup routine.
As it only backs up actual data whereas the Hot and Cold backups, backup the
whole datafile (in NT) including all the empty space.
I will then copy the Export.dmp to Tape



Questions;


1)    Are there any pitfalls in this arrangement?
2)    Does one also have to backup the Control Files?
