Thanks for your reply. However, I found out that the same code worked ok with Oracle 8.0.4. Problem seemed to be only with 7.3.x. I replaced the DAO 3.5 library with ADO 1.5 and now everything works perfectly with both Oracle 7.3.x and Oracle 8.
