RAC 18c will, of course, require a 64GB laptop. As someone who has started with PDP-11 and 512 KB or RAM (no, it's not a mistake, it really was 512 kilobytes) and 8 MB replaceable hard drives, I have a problem with using "64 GB" and "laptop" in the same sentence. Actually, I have the same problem with 32 GB. From 1985 - 1988, I was working as a COBOL programmer on IBM 3090 400J with 32 MB (yes, that is megabytes) of RAM. It used to service around 900 concurrent users with CICS and DL/1 running on MVS.  COBOL used to be what Java is today. Same as Java, it was horribly verbose. By the time I retire, we may be running 1TB laptops with Windows 2026. And that, of course, will not be enough for the latest Oracle RDBMS.
