Do you mean that DFS lock handle appeared in the top timed events, with a significant fraction of the time, and a summary of the p1 values from ASH (v$ or DBA_HIST) showed most of these to be BB or DX ?

They're both associated with distributed transactions - do you think you're doing distributed transactions ? If not, are you accidentally doing distributed transactions because your application is using XA and managing to direct parts of what it sees as the same transaction through difference app servers ?

Subject: dfs Lock handle on RAC

Hi Experts

Can someone suggest what should be done if I am seeing some performance issue and found 'DFS Lock handle" and rdbms ipc Reply Event and digging more found that dfs Lock Handle has enqueue DX and BB. Can someone suggest what should be done on Database or Application side to resolve it.

Tx
Sanjay
