Strictly speaking, and I am nitpicking about the English language here, that would constitute a warning, not a notification. I prefer notification: "Your account has been terminated. You are next. Respectfully yours <your name here>".
Now, that is a notification of an event that has already taken place and a warning, all rolled into one.
