Hi Niall
ODA 12.1.2 now uses ACFS as default FS to store database files and general purpose data so I guess in the future it might replace ASM. One of reasons I guess it is it's facility to snapshot FS.
In AIX ACFS still have long qay to go though. We have been fighting with ACFS performance Performance in AIX for over a year now, even after having applied latestes 11.2.0.4.4 PSU plus ACFS recommened patches on top of it the performance is still not desired.
