Well, count on fuser only as root. So, if you are a non-root user and the operating system
file descriptor table is not accessible, it could result in fuser not returning anything and
can result in incorrect decisions.

I could not find any information in the posts if this can be a bottleneck in your environment, just keep it in mind.
