Couple of thoughts for you:

Are you considering ASSM?

What size of datafiles are you and your storage team comfortable with? At the extreme, a couple of tablespaces makes administration easy. But if you have to do something with a multi-terrabyte tablespace, that could take a loooong time. And recovering a single small datafile is much faster than recovering a huge datafile.

What are the update and downtime requirements for this data warehouse? Is it updated weekly or updated continuously? How much downtime can be tolerated in case of a failure?
