Are you sure of the syntax? I don't find that command in any of my reference books. I am using Oracle 9.2.

        Try doing a Change archivelog all crosscheck; or now Change archivelog all validate;

        Then re-run the RMAN backup          

        I think you are cross checking the backup only

Oracle or RMAN error code is returned. 
	"specification does not match any archive log in the recovery
catalog"

        I am doing a crosscheck backup and a crosscheck copy.

        Did I miss something?
