Hi

We have an IBM server (Intel based) with 2 CPUs and 8 GB of RAM for our 10g (9.0.4.1) Oracle Application Server.

We have a choice of installing it either on Windows 2000 or Linux Red Hat. There are possibly up to 150+ Discoverer users and 250+ Forms and Reports users (including the before mentioned Discoverer users).

What are your experiences in regards to the OS? Which one would you recommend based on your experience? Do not consider this as a start of a religious war, but rather the collection of your experiences. We have a lot of experience with Unix in multi-user environment, but in terms of Oracle application server and RDBMS, our experience with either of the operating system is limited to a single-user or small user community (5 to 10).

Kind Regards

Kresimir Fabijanic
