Oops. My Bad. The *setup* is on-line, through 'alter system... scope=pfile' commands. Then there is a bounce. Hey...I told you I didn't do it their way!

Besides...SAP doesn't support the use of SPFILEs yet, but their docs show commands that record to SPFILES. Odd.

Since the undo_management parameter is static, I'm currious how they plan on doing the switchover online....
