Chinedu/Chandra,
=20
Although I agree that you can use different OEM vendors as long as the = OS is
the same, be aware of the increased chances for some cross-vendor = problems.
You necessarily don't want finger-pointing between vendors when = problems
occur (they will!) in a complex RAC environment. =20
Chinedu, before you launch into using/testing RAC, you should (or ITS should) ask itself the question 'Do I need RAC?'. Mogens N=F8rgaard, a = guru
from this list has an excellent article in IOUG's SELECT magazine on = this
topic. If you don't have IOUG membership, maybe Shell ITS can get one. Alternately, you may ask Mogens for a copy. =20
