Thanks Arup,

This just confirms what I thought, but I wanted to make sure. The standby database is a 2 hour plane flight from work and I don't think my boss would've appreciated having to go there because of one table.

The table is used in replication. Please note that leaving the logging status to NO does not mean that all the DML to the table will be disabled; only a certain DML is disabled, not all. Oracle manages the table and setting the status to nologging is done by it. It should be best left as such. There is no advantage to enable logging for this table.

For the standby database, this table is probably not important; otherwise Oracle would have kept the mode to logging, since it affects media recovery too.
