Hello,

I have created a standby database using 8.1.7.4 on HP-UX 11.0 and it is recovery mode. I was looking through the database for objects with no logging. I have found some temp tables (no problem, because the information in them is used in the session and then removed), but I also found the DEF$_TEMP$LOB table that is owned by system. I looked at the other 8.1.7.4 databases and they all have the same settings.

Can someone tell me the following:
what uses this table is used?
can I change the table to logging without hurting the system? should I change it to logging?

I would like to have all objects logging for the standby database, but could table have to be an exception?

Thanks,
