Michal:
I'm not sure what the "official" answer is, but I would recommend recompiles after each. I just went through this, and I know what a pain it is. However, some of the patches I installed recommended a different level of recompile (rdbms, util, netconfig, etc.). It seems safest to recompile each patch at the level recommended. If there are any difficulties, you're not left wondering which piece went awry.

BTW, if you have not already done so, I'd recommend going to 8.1.7.b (patchset 1746764), and then applying add'l patchsets from there.

Good luck!
Barb
