Hi All,

In my scripts that do for instance offline backups I use the following syntax (UNIX)

svrmgrl <<EOF
connect / as sysdba
shutdown immediate
etc.. etc..
EOF Anything between the <<EOF and the EOF is considered as individual statements.

How can I use the same syntax in SQL*Plus with Oracle8.1.6 on WinNT/2000

I tried the exact same syntax but it complains about the <<EOF bit
