OK, so how the heck are you suppose to manage the database?? If their solution
is telnet, that's one of the worst security breaches I can think of. I believe
to placate your nervous employer you might look into Oracle's secure version of
SQL*Net. That will allow you to use OEM & SQL*Plus with all of the data
encrypted.

I was told not to use SQL*PLUS and the OEM on my workstation becuase the hacker can get hold of my user/password since our server is co-located outside the building.
I do miss using the tool and would like to know is there a way that I can use the tool with minimal privileges not as dba.
