Michael,
We looked at RedBrick for a data warehouse solution some two years ago. Their dbms ( the sales person we had here did not call it an rdbms) is solely for the use of their tools and data warehousing. It is not a general purpose system. They do a lot of de-normalization and over indexing so that their end user tool runs like lightning. I was impressed, but regrettably the bosses weren't when handed the price tag.

Hello,
Has anyone heard of Redbrick RDBMS ( http://www.redbrick.com )? I am particularly interested in the comparison with Oracle. As far as I can see from their website, this product is architectured specifically for data warehousing.. what about OLTP?
TIA,
