Their dbms ( the sales person we had here did not call it an rdbms) is solely for the use of their tools and data warehousing. It is not a general purpose system. They do a lot of de-normalization and over indexing so that their end user tool runs like lightning. Has anyone heard of Redbrick RDBMS ( http://www.redbrick.com )? I am particularly interested in the comparison with Oracle.   
As far as I can see from their website, this product is architectured specifically for data warehousing.. what about OLTP?
