I just installed 8iR2 on Windows 2000 Advanced Server and I'd like to get a little help with the Net8 tools. I'm struggling with them. My server domain it THINKFAST.local. My SID is ORACLE1. I don't want to edit the .ora files directly. I need to be able to explain how to use all of the admin tools. For Net8, what are steps 1, 2, 3, etc. Or better, direct me to documentation that accomplishes this the fastest.

I have just installed Oracle 8.1.6 on NT 4.0, and I'd like to reduce the memory that Oracle is using for it's Java Virtual Machine. I have heard that it is possible to do this with 8.1.6.

Can one have any experience with this? Anything that I should be aware of?
