Also, I understand there's some bug when timed_statistics=true in 8.1.5 which can impact performance.

Here's a few places to start:

	Any changed init.ora parameters 
	Optimizer mode - if choose do you have statistics
	Queries tuned for rule that the cost optimizer handles poorly (full
table scans)
	Any invalid indexes
