Dave:

We have been running SQR against 7.0.16 for over a year w/ no apparent problem. Your error suggests to me that you are running out of PGA. Increasing your db buffers resulted in an increased SGA, which means that less memory is available for PGA (how much less depends on the size of your db block as well as how many blocks you have cached).

Please give more info on your config:
Application environment (C/S, host, etc) Running MTS? (This affects where your data area is allocated) OS (VMS handles PGA alloc MUCH differently than unix) Hardware, including physical memory
