(as I thought I illustrated): what are the possible logical bases for distinguishing different constraints, or to put it another way, what kind of theory can be built that determines which constraints are independent? (eg., how could they be independently 'packaged'? That begs another question, maybe it goes likes this - if two constraints aren't independent, should they be recast because they overlap or are somehow redundant? Could this be automated?
