Well, I thought you were being 'funny', as people were in those threads. I assumed it was a sarcastic reference, and of course how could I know, and it could be anyone, etc.

If you meant something else, I really can't comment any further. But, it might be sensible to agree that 'wiki' is not necessarily a reliable reference. It might be interesting. And this article or that might be reliable, or at least conform to one's 'school' or faction at the moment. But a guideline, at best. And there often are further links provided with the article, to be fair. And those might be consulted before taking to heart any view.

But, sure, beyond whether or not the article is accurate by the measure of any faction, some opinion is going to suit one faction, not another. And it's a thorny issue that they specifically set up the site to address. But then ultimately, if the moderators or site owners themselves represent a faction on any particular issue, then the rest might be expected to be excised and ignored. Everything is 'religion', if anyone cares about whatever issue. It's also in politics. And that kind of politics is 'religion'. Them n us and painting oneself into a corner as a result is just a fact of life. Received on Fri Feb 24 2006 - 10:08:38 CET
