I have no experience with XML "databases".

 From what I read, e.g. at http://www.w3.org/TR/xpath I see a strictly singular hierarchical nature - "Nodes never share children" (so NO heterarchies as in multiple inheritance object models). CODASYL databases (no quotes) at least handle many-to-many quite well. Received on Wed Feb 15 2006 - 15:49:08 CET
