     I do not presume to know what an acronym stands for when expressed out of context. http://www.acronyms.ch/ says "Customer Information Control System", but this is not a definition, but merely an expansion, and I do not know if it is the one that you are thinking of.

     "IDE" can mean "Integrated Development Environment" or "Integrated Device Electronics", and formerly meant "Integrated Drive Electronics". As a software sort who know some hardware, I can easily use either.
