Database engine design

Hello all,

I have started programming a new database engine/front end project called NetDB. NetDB uses the Internet for a front-end and submits all queries to a server-side application for processing.

I was wondering if anyone could provide me with a few links to places about database engine design or was willing to contribute their thoughts, ideas, or time to the project.
