Hi,
We have an in house application developed under Oracle 8.0.4 using Developer2000 (D2K) Forms4.5/Reports2.5 under UNIX server. The Application is character based running on ASCII VT100 terminals connected to Terminal servers(with serial ports) which are connected to Main Unix server.

The ASCII terminals are to be replaced by PC's connected on LAN environment

The character application does n't look good running on PCs using emulators.
Some fields overlap or out of screen. hence decided to convert to GUI.
1. The question is that Does Oracle provide any easier method to convert from Char. to GUI. If so how to proceed. Client does't want third party tools.

2. Is it true that the same executable can be used in Character mode on terminals and also on PCs using windows environment(GUI).

Please suggest.

thanks in advance.
