Tivoli Systems, an IBM Company, (http://www.tivoli.com) is seeking a full time Database Designer / Developer to join its development team in Austin, Texas.

Responsibilities include the design and development of a management RDBMS data model for supporting a suite of Internet Management applications. Requirements include in-depth knowledge of and expertise with RDBMS systems, data modeling, C/C++, SQL, and database administration for both the Windows NT and UNIX environments. Desired familiarity with several of the following: Oracle, MS SQL server, Sybase, Informix, and DB2.

Mandatory Requirements

· Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
· In-depth knowledge of and expertise with RDBMS systems, data modeling, C/C++, SQL, Java and database administration for both the Windows NT and UNIX environments.
· Have designed and developed a data model for a distributed or internet based application.
· Strong C, C++ or Java programming experience. · US Citizenship or permanent resident status required.

Desired Background

· Familiarity with database performance tuning and normalization.
· Familiarity with databases integrated with HTML.
· 1+ years of experience designing and developing web based

applications.
· Familiarity with distributed application problems and issue in large heterogeneous, web-based environments.
· Familiarity with data modeling tools (e.g. Erwin).
