Your Welcome!

Hugo,
We have a sybase client that runs on a http (web) server that acts as a client to a SQL-Server. The database does not have to reside on the same machine as the http server. The program is Sybernet and it's shareware. If your ISP is willing to run this system (damon) on their system and your SQL-Server is available from the http server. Then your application could be written as a series of Sybase Stored procedures. On your machine, under your control.
A demostration system(s) is available at;
http://spacely.sri.com/netscape.html (netscape server on Solaris)
and select the 'demo' server.
or
http://spacely.sri.com:2080/ (CERN server on Solaris)
or
http://sybernet.sri.com/ (WebStar server on MacOS)
or
http://linux.sri.com/ (Apache server on Linux)
you can login using 'guest' as a username and your email as a password. (It will not be used to spam)
The system can also deliver automatic logins to the database without a login screen, and still maintain SQL-Server security controls.
