In my Installation & Configuration Guide for Oracle 7.2.3 for Digital Unix, in the section titled "Database and Log File Size", there is the following note:

Note: Oracle Corporation recommends that database file
sizes be no greater than 300 to 500 MB.
Does anyone know if this is for real? We had been using much larger sizes until I saw this, and I have started using the smaller recommended sizes.
